- Take your parents to the Nugget Theater for a movie: 728-3030.
- Rent a movie from either Rosebud: 728-6767, or Wizard Entertainment: 728-4924.
- Stop in at Youth Link, at 233 E. Pacific Ave., to hang with other Telluriders Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m.: 728-0140.
- Learn to be the next Rembrandt, Picasso, or Monet (or just have fun doodling with some arts and crafts) at the Ah Haa School: 728-3886.
- Play sports during open gym. Call the Telluride High School: 728-4377
- Feel like you’re climbing the walls? Go climb one for real at the Telluride Middle/High School gym Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 7-10 p.m.: 728-4377, ext. 153.
- Go for a swim, a swoosh down the slide, or get involved in other fun activities at the KidSpa at the Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa: 728-6800.
TELSKI’S TOP KID PICKS
- Take some lessons with the Telluride Ski & Snowboard School: 728-6900.
- For some truly outrageous fun, check out Thrill Hill, Wednesday-Sunday from 2:30-7:00 p.m. Speed seekers will love the tubing, skating, and snowbiking. Stop by the Gravity Garage, located at the bottom of Chairlift 2 in Mountain Village.
- Catch big air at the Sprite Air Garden Terrain Park off Chairlift 4.
- Give yourself a break. Have Mom or Dad drop off your baby sister or brother (up to 3 years) at the Mountain Village Nursery & Daycare: 728-7531. They can also line up a fun babysitter from Annie’s Nannies: 728-2991.
- Have a parent or another adult take you on a tour to learn more about the mountain. Hook up with Meet the Mountain Tours atop Chairlift 7 at 10 a.m., daily.
- Or how about a Naturalist Snowshoe Tour? Those meet at Station St. Sophia Thursdays through Sundays at 1 p.m. These tours—just like the Mountain Tours—are free, but be sure to rent snowshoes in town first.
- Play X-boxes (you know, those hot video games) at The Plaza Arcades in Mountain Village. Open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily.
- Take a ride from Mountain Village into town on the Gondola. It’s a fun thing to do even if you’re not skiing, and it’s free!
SKI TRAIL TIPS FOR KIDS
- Start off easy with Prospect Bowl’s glorious green runs. The terrain is great for beginners and intermediates alike.
- Don’t miss the Enchanted Forest Trail off Chairlift 10. All the kids love zipping through the woods.
- If you want to go for the gold, try out the Race Hill or join the Gate Club.
